Pani Puri

Pani Puri Pani: 


  • ½ cup fresh mint 

  • 3 tsp black salt 

  • 9 tsp sugar 

  • 4 tsp roasted cumin seeds 

  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice 

  • ¾ cup thick tamarind pulp 

  • 2-3 green chilies 

  • 3.5 tsp salt 

  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper 

  • 7 cups water 

  • 2 Tbsp boondi - add this to the pani puri pani when done 


  1. Blend everything with 2 cups of water first 

  2. Add little more water and blend again 

  3. Strain it in a large bowl 

  4. Blend the paste again with rest of water 

  5. Strain again, check and adjust salt or sugar 

  6. Keep it in the fridge before serving 




Potato stuffing for pani puri 


  • 2 large boiled potatoes (roughly mashed) 

  • Salt to taste ½ tsp cayenne pepper 

  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds, crushed 

  • 1 tsp green chilies, finely chopped 

  • 2 Tbsp cilantro, chopped 

  • ½ tsp chaat masala 

  • ¼ cup cooked chickpeas, mashed (optional)


Mix everything together and pani puri is ready to be enjoyed!
